MANUFACTURE DE TAPIS DE BOURGOGNE
MANUFACTURE DE TAPIS DE BOURGOGNE
The rug is a decorative element in its own, capable of transforming the soul of an interior by its mere presence. For this, the choice of material, colors, and weaving is paramount. For nearly 60 years, the Manufacture de Tapis de Bourgogne has perfected its ancestral high-loom weaving technique, creating custom rugs that turn each piece into a unique and durable textile work of art, capable of defining the ambiance of a space.

Since its creation in 1958, the Manufacture de Tapis de Bourgogne, renowned for its exceptional textile expertise, has continuously pushed the boundaries of innovation in the high-end custom rug world. The brand's story began with the bold foray of a weaving company into the world of hand-crafted rugs, marking the establishment of the Manufacture in the picturesque village of Moroges, in Burgundy.

In the 1970s, the Manufacture developed the process for hand-tufted rugs, a revolutionary technique that propelled it to the forefront of the scene. Designers and architects were not mistaken: Andrée Putman, Jean-Michel Wilmotte, Pierre Paulin, Philippe Starck, Peter Marino, and many others made the journey to Moroges and chose the Manufacture's custom rugs to perfect their projects.

To this day, the Manufacture works in close collaboration with designers worldwide to create custom rugs crafted exclusively by hand.

Masterpieces signed by the greatest artists such as Sonia and Robert Delaunay, Victor Vasarely, Zao Wou-Ki, and Keith Haring have taken shape on its looms, woven thread by thread with a blend of skill and imagination. This fierce commitment to relying solely on manual labor is at the heart of the company's identity.
